Recently I've made a few dollar store purchases and would like to let you know what I picked up. I didn't think anyone would watch if I made a haul video, so I figured a blog post would be better suited to get the job done. (All purchases were made from Family Dollar).
First I bought DeMert Nail Enamel Dryer (Manicurist's Finishing Spray) for $2.50. I saw a different brand at Walgreens for $10, so although I haven't tried it out yet, I'm pretty happy with the money I saved. If you are unfamiliar with this type of product, it comes in a spray can (similar to hairspray) and after applying polish, you spray it over the nail and it accelerates the drying time. I'm very excited to try this product out!
I also purchased an L.A. Color White Jumbo Pencil with the intent of using it as a base to help brighter eyeshadows stay vibrant. It was only $1.50 and I tried it out yesterday and like it so far, but am going to use it a little more before doing a video review on it. *Update: Below is my video review!*
Lastly, I picked up a couple polishes also by L.A. Colors. The first one is called Sassy Sparkle (#NP441) and it's a very pretty glitter polish. The glitters are very small, sparkle a rainbow of colors, and are set in a clear polish base. This polish was only $1.00. The second polish I bought, Tropical Storm (#BCC558 ), was on clearance for only $0.60! It's a gorgeous darker gray with a shimmery finish. I haven't tried either of these polishes out yet, becase I had just painted my nails with Revlon's Smoldering #370 which also happens to be a shimmery gray with hints of purple and green. As soon as I get sick of that color, I'll try out my new ones and let you guys know what I think! *Update: Video review below!*
Keep up with products I'm trying out before I review them along with other beauty tips and information here!
